A Few Things You Should Know About Pet Cremation in Laguna Beach

A-Few-Things-You-Should-Know-About-Pet-Cremation-in-Laguna-Beach

Saying goodbye to a much-loved pet is a painful experience. It hurts just as much as losing a human family member, so it makes perfect sense to want to keep your canine companion or feline friend by your side as long as possible. Unfortunately, pets’ lives are shorter than ours, which makes having to say goodbye inevitable.

While we can’t make your pet live forever, we do provide pet cremation in Laguna Beach, so that, if you desire, you can keep your pet with you after they pass. You may also elect to spread their ashes in their favorite place or have them made into memorial jewelry. If your pet is nearing the end of their life, A Pet’s Farewell is here for you during this challenging time. If you aren’t sure whether or not you would like to have them cremated, please keep reading to learn a bit more about the process.

The Cremation Process

The process for cremating a companion animal is very similar to the one followed when cremating a human. The cremation chamber reaches a temperature of up to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit, which is hot enough to reduce your pet’s remains to ash and bone within two hours. After the chamber cools, metal from surgical pins and identification tags is removed. The bones are then crushed into a fine powder. Upon completion, your beloved pet’s ashes will weigh roughly three percent of their body weight while living.

You can choose to have your pet cremated individually or communally with other animals who have recently passed. No matter what option you choose, your dog or cat’s remains will be treated with respect and care throughout the entire process.
